Action figure “test shots” are when the factory producing the figures runs plastic through the steel molds for the first time and then they send these unpainted “test shots” to the company so they can inspect the molding quality and the articulation. From there the company either make adjustments, or tell the factory manager to move forward with production. Normally VERY few of these “test shots” are sent out to companies, but since some people are very interested in owning them, some companies order extra when that part of the process begins. When they have extra test shots that they have no real use for they might make them available to fans and customers, and so that process has begun for Four Horsemen Studios with their Mythic Legions: Siege of Bjorngar action figures.

Test shots included in this sale will be of figures Bolthor the Tower, Ogre Legion Builder, Kkurzog, Thwikk and Faustia. You can check out an image of all of the test shots below.

Get ready for the Mythic Legions: Siege at Bjorngar test shot sale beginning on Wednesday, September 18th at 9pm EST on!!

We do expect these “test shots” to sell out quickly, so be sure to get your order in as early as possible. Because of the fact that these are an EXTREMELY limited supply of Mythic Legions: Siege at Bjorngar test shots, we can’t offer replacements or refunds for any figures purchased that have loose joints, missing armor or accessories, or extra fragile accessories, so please keep that in mind when placing an order. These test shots will only be sold individually and not as sets. Also, because of the extra cost for a limited run of these pieces, the rarity of the pieces, and the fact that we have to pay extra to have these pieces air shipped over to us from the factory, expect these to be a bit more expensive than the normal Mythic Legions action figure. Last, these are in-stock items and MUST be purchased separately from the existing Mythic Legions: Arethyr pre-order. Any orders for the Mythic Legions: Siege at Bjorngar test shots that are combined with a Mythic Legions: Arethyr pre-order will be cancelled without notification.

About Four Horsemen Studios:

After a groundbreaking run designing and sculpting over 100 figures for Mcfarlane Toys between 1993 and 1999, the future members of Four Horsemen Studios left to form their own toy design firm.

In September of 1999,  Four Horsemen Studios was born. For 14 years, the studio has been designing and producing some of the finest action figures and collectibles in the toy industry. Through an unprecedented partnership with the world’s largest toy company,  Mattel, the studio has created hundreds of award winning figures for lines as varied as Masters of the Universe, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, DC Universe Classics, and Man of Steel to name a few.

In 2005,  Four Horsemen Studios began creating their own properties and designing and manufacturing the toys to support them. The studio has developed several fan favorite properties including:  Seventh Kingdom,  Gothitropolis,  Magma Corps, and Symbiotech. These properties have yielded numerous figures that have amassed a fan base across the globe.

In early 2010, the Horsemen brought their business to the next level by making the leap into licensed action figures. The studio signed a deal to produce figures based on the 60’s sci-fi toy line The Outer Space Men.

With plans for new and exciting projects for years to come, there is no doubt that fantastic things are in store for Four Horsemen fans!
