Figures Toy Company Announces Pocket Sized DC Heroes!!!

If you are a child of the 70s/80s, then you probably remember the original Pocket Size Heroes that Mego released. Most were DC Comics themed, but there were a couple of Marvel characters in the line such as Spider-Man and the Hulk. Now it seems they are getting ready for a comeback!

Figures Toy Company has announced that they will be recreating 8 of your favorite characters for their first assortment of the Pocket Size Heroes line.  The first lineup of DC Comics characters includes Batman, Robin, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Shazam!, The Joker, and The Penguin! It’s only fitting that one of the very first series of 3 ¾ figures in toy history has evolved into Figures Toy Company’s first ever figure release in that format, as they continue to revolutionize the toy market with a mixture of classic collectibles based on blasts from the past, as well as the inclusion of so many iconic characters that were never created in the retro style ever before!

No word on pricing, or even an advanced look at the figures yet, but we can expect these in early 2019.

Here’s hoping that this is a successful line, and that we get a Ted Kord Blue Beetle at some point! As always, we will update you with any relevant news, as it breaks!

  1. My first ever DC figure was the Superman Pocket Size Heroes figure from Mego. I used to recreate scenes from Superman The Movie with that figure until the cape broke off (or more likely I ripped it off, because hey, I was a kid). Those were the days!
